"Mrs. Anna May Thompson, aged 54 years, died at her home at Marcus on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1944, at 1:15 A.M., following a several months' illness.

She was the daughter of the late Newt and Atha Brooks Gill and was born in Grant County, Aug. 2, 1889. She was united in marriage to Harry N. Thompson 34 years ago.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by the following children: Hubert Thompson of Boyd, Mrs. Edith Sexton of Cincinnati, Miss Hildreth Thompson of Cincinnati, Hope Thompson of the U.S. Navy, and Ralph, Christine, Mildred and Dolly Thompson, all at home. She is also survived by two brothers, Luther Gill of Muncie, Ind., and Ed Gill of Williamstown, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Thompson of Falmouth.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Colemansville Christian Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 8, at 2 o'clock at the Marcus Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Forest Taylor. Burial took place in the Pythian Grove Cemetery at Berry. The casket-bearers were nephews.

Elliston & Stanley, funeral directors, of Williamstown, were in charge.
