Apr.20,1967-Funeral services for Walter Lewis Baskins, Jr., 44, of Memphis, killed Thursday night in an accident near Shell Lake, will be held Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home. Rev.Marion Grambling will conduct the services, with burial in Hughes cemetery. Mr.Baskins was born Dec.20,1922, in St.Francis County, the son of Mrs.Stella Watson Baskins and Walter L.Baskins Sr. A former city policeman, he was an employee at Coyne Cylinder Co. of Memphis. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the Baptist church. His wife, Mrs.Inez Barnes Baskin, whom he married in 1958, was critically injured in the accident, and is hospitalized in Memphis. In addition to his wife, Mr.Baskins is survived by his father, of Forrest City; five sisters, Mrs.Georgia Hubbard and Mrs.Alma Busby of Forrest City, Mrs.Alberta Crews Mrs.Louise Reed of Memphis, and Miss Mary Baskins of Pasadena, Calif.
