GARY NORRIS GEORGE, age 78, of Alvin, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. He was born October 12, 1939 in Jacksonville, Texas to Edrie George (nee Hill) and Frasier George. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Gary was married to his loving wife, Evonne George (nee Parker) for thirty-seven years before she went to be with the Lord on November 3, 1999. He is survived by his sister Patsy Pollard, twin brother Jerry George, daughter Kim Hinton and husband Michael Hinton, his son Jonathan George, his grandchildren Alyssa George, Kenneth Hooker, Kayla George, Darren Knowles and Clayton George, and his great grandchildren Jaedon Delagarza, Isabella Lujan and Jensen Lujan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Dwayne George and Arlin George and sister Shelby Starkey.

Gary served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1963. During this time, he moved to Fort Worth where he married the love of his life on November 2, 1962. In 1964, he took a position at Celanese Chemical Company in Bay City, Texas where he worked primarily as a pipe fitter until he retired in 1995. In 2001, he moved to Alvin, Texas where he lived out the remainder of his days.

A graveside ceremony will be held at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas on Tuesday, October 31st at 11 a.m. with Reverend Ken Gurley officiating.
