Virginia Beach - Dorothy Ann Baynard, 84, received her greatest Mother's Day gift when she went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2016. She was born in Maryland to the late Albert and Mary Bradley. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Baynard and a brother, Albert Bradley. Dot had worked as a school nurse at Woodstock Elementary; taught girls recreation league basketball; worked at Miller's Dept. store and later in Dot's life, she worked with her daughter JoAnn at Farm Fresh.

Dot is survived by two daughters, Lana Herrington and husband Bradford and JoAnn Grass and husband Randall; and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Robby Herrington.

The family would like to say thank you to all of Mom's caregivers.

A visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd. Va. Beach on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 11am to 12pm with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 12pm. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Va. Beach. A reception will be held in the funeral home after the burial.

Note: Mother, Mary J. Bradley, married Walter Harrison and moved to Sherwood, Md., when Dorothy and brother Albert were in their teens.
