ALEXANDRIA, IN-Sharon A. (Plake) Pierce, 63, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.

She was born on November 2, 1953 in Elwood to David and Dora (Warren) Plake. Sharon was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1972 and attended Ball State University for 3 years as well. She had worked at Hooks Drug Store and Cox's Super Market in Alexandria and most recently at Community Northview in Anderson. Sharon was an avid reader however, her greatest joy in life was her family and especially her grandchildren.

Brother-Jim (Becky) Plake-Alexandria

Sharon was a beloved "Nana" to so many in her family

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings-David Lamper, Kay Waymire, Sandy Taylor and John Plake

Services honoring Sharon's life and her legacy will take place at 5 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. Adam Fraley will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm on Sunday prior to the service.
