Marilyn Marie Hutson Duvall, 81, of Cabot, our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Marilyn was born October 8, 1936 in Atkins to the late John & Effie Hutson. Marilyn and her sister Delena were raised by their grandmother, Bertha Patterson. She was married to Bill Duvall for 63 years. They had one, perfect son, Todd Duvall. Marilyn had a wonderful sister, Delena Greaser that loved her dearly. Marilyn had two grandchildren, Blake Duvall (Sarah) and Bridgette Duvall Cardona (Ryan). Marilyn is survived by 3 great grandchildren, Keegan (9), Keiki (5) and Sparkle (3).
Marilyn adored her family more than anything. She was very proud of her family and loved to spoil them any chance she got. Christmas time was Marilyn's favorite time of year. She loved gathering with her family and enjoying the holiday together. Marilyn worked hard all throughout her life and supported her husband, her childhood sweetheart, as a Pastor and all his endeavors. Marilyn had a close relationship with her sister, her best friend. Marilyn was always there for them. Her son, Todd, was her world. She loved him with all that she had. Marilyn was an avid reader, jeopardy queen, Razorback and Cowboy fanatic. Marilyn was an organized, sophisticated and classy lady. She will be missed, but we are thankful for the cross and the promise that we will be reunited with her again one day.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Spring Creek Health and Rehab and Kindred Hospice for their dedication and kindness they showed us during this time. A celebration service will be held at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home on Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 pm. Marilyn will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
