John V. Musolf, age 79 of Hartford, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on December 13, 1937 to Vincent and Mildred (nee Smith) Musolf in Fond du lac, Wisconsin. John was united in marriage to Judith Immel on June 11, 1960 at St. Louis Catholic church in Fond du lac.
John started his career as a clerk for the Soo Line Railroad, however what caught and kept his interest for many decades to come was Information Technology. John’s career in computers started as a data processor at Allis Chalmers and ended with the last 25 years as a systems consultant with such companies as ASI (Atlanta), Oracle and Deloitte & Touche. Within the last 25 years of his career, John traveled the world to such places as Australia, Japan, India, and many countries throughout Europe. His beloved wife Judy occasionally accompanied John whenever possible.
John was an avid reader and was a proud volunteer at many interfaith caregivers within the Milwaukee Metro area, St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend and Oro Valley, AZ.
John is survived by his sister Marilyn (Don) Dobrinski, his loving children, Michael (Barb) of West Bend, Casey (Greg) of Hartford, and Ann (Kevin) of Hartford; 4 grandchildren, Colette, Christopher, Eric, and Nicole; 5 greatgrandchildren, Sophia, Sylvia, A.J., Chloe, and Ethan. He is further survived by many other dear relatives and friends.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife Judith, parents Vincent and Mildred
Musolf, his sister Susan Pentecost and Uncle Loren “Babe” Smith. According to John’s wishes private services were held.
