On Monday, October 23, 2017, our most cherished, Herman Ray Armstrong, a resident of East Kingston, passed away the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was 61 years old.

Born on November 4, 1955, he was the son of the late Hilton Beacher Armstrong Sr. (1929-Deceased) and Audrey Lee Holley-Armstrong (1930-2016).

In addition to his parents, Herman Ray was preceded in death by his brothers, Hilton "Junior" Beacher Armstrong Jr. (1951-1953), Billy Jay Armstrong (1959-1974), and David Wayne Armstrong Sr. (1962-2015); a sister, Sharon Gail Armstrong (1953-1953).

Herman Ray was of the Methodist faith and had been employed at Dick Powers Construction.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Jason Ray Armstrong and his wife, Kathy Armstrong; sisters, Patricia "Patti" Armstrong-Treadway and husband Lewis Treadway, Donna "Sue" Armstrong-Boone and husband Allen Boone, Neva Armstrong-Settle, Fonda "Lynn" Armstrong-Simon and husband Terry Simon, and Brenda Armstrong-Sumpter and husband Donnie Sumpter; grandchildren, Aniela Settle and husband Nathan Settle, Emma Armstrong, Ella Armstrong and Seth Armstrong; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Mossy Living Word.
