A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ron Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born in Richburg, SC, Mrs. Carter was a daughter of the late James Frank Gaston and the late Annie Wilson Gaston. She was retired from Celanese Fibers with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Fairfield County Boat Club and Catawba Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics.
Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Tom Carter; their sons, Thomas Carter, Jr. (Alice) of Las Vegas, NV and Jimmy Carter (Diane) of Moncks Corner, SC; and four grandchildren.
