Travis Elliott, age 74 of Rowlett, TX, passed away October 25, 2017. He was born in Rowlett on November 25, 1942, to Thelton and Opal (Blasingame) Elliott. Travis was a member of Poetry Baptist Church and an engineer for GTE. He is remembered as a loving husband, father and “Poppy.”
Travis is survived by his wife: Judy Elliott of Rowlett, TX; daughter: Caprice Terry and husband Brian of Rowlett, TX; daughter-in-law: Amy Porter of Luella, TX; grandchildren: Jordan Appelquist and husband Tyler of Rowlett, TX; Jake Terry of Austin, TX, Jolie Terry of Rowlett, TX, Eli Elliott and Riley Elliott of Stephenville, TX; and great granddaughter: Blakely Appelquist. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Rodney “Heath” Elliott, and brother Raymond Elliott.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel with Pastor Robert Wheat officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, TX. Pallbearers include Brian Terry, Jake Terry, Eli Elliott, Clif Elliott, Tyler Appelquist, and Pat Wilburn and honorary pallbearers are Wayne Plumlee and Gene Shellhorse. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm
