Departed This Life
On September 1, 1892, Mrs. Cora E. Harris, wife of Henry Harris, living near Red Cloud, departed this life after a serious illness. She was a daughter of Major and Lucinda Curtis, and was born at Mishwauka, Indiana, June 6, 1859. She was married to Henry Harris, Oct. 13, 1881, and died Sept. 1, 1892, aged 33 years two months and 25 days. She was the mother of four children, who survive her, except one, and are left in tender years without a mother’s care. The husband mourns the wife, and an aged mother is left to suffer the affliction in her declining years and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Dye, of Buffalo, N.Y.; and four half brothers, and three half sisters are sorrowing over the departure of their beloved sister. But what joy there will be in heaven when all are again united to part no more. Mrs. Harris had many kind friends and neighbors, who have been untiring in their deeds of kindness all through her illness. The funeral services took place from the M.E. church Red Cloud, Sabbath afternoon,
and were conducted by Rev. E.J. Randall, and the remains were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of friends.
