Copenhagen - News of the death of Mrs. Esther Keely Moran in North Dakota, Sunday, March 9, formerly of this place, has been received by friends here.

Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of the body at her home in Whitesboro.

Mrs. Moran was in North Dakota to company with her two daughters, who are members of a Lyceum Bureau company of musicians, touring the western states. No particulars were given in the telegram announcing her death. The Moran family formerly resided in this village, owning and occupying the house on Main street now owned by Paul Buchal. Mr. Moran died in this village, and after his death the family moved to Whitesboro, where they have maintained a home, closing it when the young ladies were on the road and accompanied by their mother.

Mrs. Moran is survived by a sister, Mrs. Garrett Goutremout, residing on the Eugene Taylor farm near Watertown, and three brothers, Patrick Keely, of Martinsburg, and Cornelius and Thomas Keely, of the town of Montague.

The many friends of Esther Moran in Whitesboro were profoundly shocked when a telegram was received yesterday afternoon announcing her death at Fargo, N. D., Saturday night.

Mrs. Moran left Whitesboro shortly before Christmas to Join her daughters, the Misses Anna, Esther and Gertrude Moran who were traveling on the Keith Western Vaudeville Circuit, doing a musical act. That Mrs. Moran's death was wholly unexpected is attested by the fact that letters received by Whitesboro friends last week gave the information that the Moran party was on route to California and would tour the coast cities before their return.

Mrs. Moran was the widow of Robert Moran, formerly of Copenhagen. She was a woman who had a large circle of friends in Utlca especially among the musical set, and her death will be greatly regretted In Whitesboro she was a regular attendant at St. Paul's Church and was held in the highest esteem by all. It is expected that the remains will arrive in Whitesboro Tuesday. Mrs. Moran was about 65 years of age.
