M. David DePietro, 79, a lifelong resident of Conshohocken, died on Dec. 16, 2006, at his daughter's home in Plymouth Twp. He was the husband of Teresa "Nella" (DeCurtis) DePietro for more than 58 years.

He was born in Conshohocken on May 15, 1927, to the late John and Lucia (Lincul) DePietro. Mr. DePietro was a graduate of Conshohocken High School, Class of 1945. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army with rank of Private First Class. He was employed as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service in Conshohocken until his retirement in 1987. Mr. DePietro was a former volunteer fireman for the Conshohocken Fire Co. 2; he was a member and co-organizer of the former Columbus Civic Association of Conshohocken; and was a devoted and active member of SS. Cosmas and Damian Church in Conshohocken, where he was active with many organizations including the church choir, the annual church feast and the church school.

Besides his wife Nella, he is survived by four children: John Adam DiPietro, Esq., East Norriton, Teresa Tuturice and husband Russell, Norristown, Marisa Colucci and husband Bruno, Toronto, Canada, Caroline Conboy and husband Daniel, Plymouth Meeting; seven grandchildren; a brother, Adam DePietro of Conshohocken; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Melissa Ashlie Tuturice, a sister, Mary Gambone, and a brother, Victor DePietro.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. at SS. Cosmas and Damian Church, 209 W. Fifth Ave., Conshohocken. The viewing will be on Tuesday after 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes, 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's name sent to SS. Cosmas and Damian Church at above address are appreciated.
