Jeanne E. Wylie Sproull, 87, of the Gosser Hill area of Allegheny Twp., died at 11:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born April 16, 1917 in Allegheny Twp., she was a lifelong resident of Gosser Hill.

She worked on the bottling lines of the Joseph S. Finch Co., Schenley for 7 years.

Mrs. Sproull was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church, Leechburg, where she taught Adult Sunday school. Very active in her church, she also wrote poetry and short stories for magazines and columns for the Leechburg Advance. She enjoyed creating puzzles for T.V. Guide Magazine.

Survivors include a son Vaughn R. (Patricia) Sproull of Gosser Hill; daughter Suzanne Koehnlein of Westminster, Md.; a niece she helped raise, Norma J. Cooper of Brookville; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Sproull on 8/18/91; parents William Sr. and Lottie Irene Schall Wylie; brother William F. Wylie Jr.; sister Ruth Troup; and nephew Robert W. Wylie.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in CLAWSON'S, Leechburg, and on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. in Hebron Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Edward Sheehan.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Allegheny Twp.
