Carl Wayne Schumacher
April 5, 1968 ~ October 22, 2017 (age 49)

Carl Wayne Schumacher passed away peacefully on Oct. 22 in Sacramento at the age of 49.

He was born on April 5, 1968 in Alameda, CA and grew up in San Leandro, Stockton and Fair Oaks.

He attended Laurel Ruff, Starr King and Orange Grove schools and the Twin Rivers Adult Growth Experience II adult day program.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Schumacher.

Carl is survived by his mother, Florence Schumacher, and his four older siblings: Donna Blaschke (John), Denise Johnston (Paul), John Schumacher (Lisa) and Colette Runquist (Bruce). Down Syndrome left Carl speechless, but he often found a way to get his message across.

We will always remember his smile and laugh, and how he would giggle when going for a walk, taking off his shoes or getting you to rub his head.

May your spirit soar in heaven.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 7101 Verner Ave., Sacramento, CA 95621.

Visitation is set for 5-8p.m., with a rosary at 6p.m., on Oct. 26 at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610.
