Mark Wayne Shelton, 57, of Rogersville, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017. Mark retired from Athens- Limestone Hospital and was a police officer for many years. He was a member of Old Mt. Bethel C.P. Church. He has been a southern gospel singer since the age of 12. Mark also has a talent for writing beautiful gospel songs.
Mr. Shelton’s visitation will be held at Rogersville Funeral Home on, Saturday, October 28th, 2017 from 12 – 2 p.m. with funeral service following. Burial will be in Harvey Cemetery with Terry Herston and Chuck Hood officiating.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Shelton; and nephew, Chris Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Shelia Shelton; mother, Colista Jean Shelton; sisters, Sonya (Wayne) Anthony, Diann Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
