Visitation will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017 from 5-7pm.
The Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Oct 27, 2017 at 10:00am at the Chapel of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tyler, Texas with Father Justin Braun.
Interment will be at the Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery , Tyler, Texas.
Mr. Piazza was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 8, 1954 to Rudolph and Evelyn Hempen Piazza.
He was employed as a manager for the Union Pacific Railroad and he married Jane Schaedig on Dec. 30 , 1985 in San Antonio, Texas.
Joseph was an avid runner and participated in many marathons, he enjoyed sports , especially auto racing .
He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler and volunteered at the Food Pantry.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Jane of the home in Tyler, two daughters, Jennifer Piazza and husband Kenneth Dean of Tyler, Lisa Eri and husband Kevin of Hawaii, grandchildren, Autumn Eri, Oliver Piazza Dean, his parents, Rudy and Evelyn Piazza and his sister, Nancy Piazza, and his little buddy "Bo".
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dean, Kevin Eri, Mike Allgaier, James Devine.
