Edward Bennett, 73, of Chatham, Virginia, passed away on October 23, 2017, at SOVAH Health, Danville. Born on September 3, 1944, in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of Percy Bennett and Ollie Coleman Bennett. He was also preceded in death by a son, Selester A. Bennett; a daughter, Beverly M. Bennett. He was a retired employee of Lorillard and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Katheryn Bennett; daughter-in-law, Katrina Everett-Bennett; brothers, Ralph Bennett and Allen Bennett; sister, Katherine Younger. Burial will be in Hill Crest Burial Park.
