Timothy Roland Lyons, 57, passed away on October 24, 2017 in Tallahassee, FL. Timmy was born December 6, 1959 in Madison, Florida to Roland Lyons and Mary Revels Lyons.
Timmy was of the Baptist faith and was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church in Mayo, but recently had been attending Seminole Baptist Church in Tallahassee. He was a graduate of Lafayette High Class of 1976, and then received his accounting degree from the University of West Florida. Timmy worked with the State of Florida and Lafayette County as its bookkeeper for several years. In his spare time, Timmy enjoyed gardening, and collecting exotic fish for his fish aquariums, and he was an avid Gator fan.
Timothy was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lyons.
Mr. Lyons is survived by his father Roland Lyons of Mayo; his sister Letecia Blick and her husband Robert of Tallahassee; as well as a host of cousins and good friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Scott officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
