Eric Charles McDonald, born July 22, 1977 in Grand Rapids, MN died on October 24, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN.

Eric is survived by his parents, David and Mary (Brouillard) McDonald; sister, Heather McDonald; paternal grandparents, Charles and Deloris McDonald; exchange student sisters: Marjorie Morville of France, Vreni Widmer of Switzerland, Elisabetta Fanesi of Italy, and Ragnhild Bakkegard of Norway.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Vital and Florence Brouillard.

Eric was a recent graduate from ICC Engineering, HCC's Electrical Maintenance, Dunwoody Institute. He is a 1996 graduate of Grand Rapids HS.

Eric loved traveling, BBQ, computers, gaming, reading, watching anime, laughing, and exploring. Eric really loved 4-H shooting sports and was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Our family has wonderful memories going on epic adventures throughout the world.

Eric was a great listener and human magnet; people really enjoyed being around him. He was a sweetie with endless kindness and thoughtfulness.

Interment will be in the Trout Lake Lakeside Cemetery.
