Lorene Benedict Bagwell, age 96, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home.

She was born on April 26, 1921 in Marion County to the late Albert Warren and Stella Homan Benedict. She is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Milton Jarboe Bagwell; son, Milton Edward Bagwell; and one grandson, Todd Allen Bagwell.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A member of Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was active in the children’s ministry and all fellowship meals. She ran a restaurant at Fowlers Tobacco Warehouse and worked twenty seven years with the University of Kentucky Expanded Food Nutrition Education Program.

Survivors include: Daughter: Patricia Bagwell Mattingly (Bob)—Louisville, KY. Daughter-in-law: Gail Greer Bagwell—Lagrange, KY. Three Sons: Thomas Warren (Joyce) Bagwell; Donald Homan (Connie) Bagwell. Ronald Campbell (Glenna) Bagwell—all of Lebanon. Sister: Emma Phipps—Portsmouth, OH.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00A.M. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Bosley Funeral Home; Officiated by Dr. David Whitlock. Interment to follow in Ryder Cemetery.
