Scott Hyde, 68, of 122 Farm Street, died in Memorial Hospital. Born in Mecklenburg, he was a son of Frank and Mary Ellis Hyde. They moved to Ithaca where he attended the schools here.
Mr. Hyde was a barber and for the past 23 years he was a barber in Willard Straight Hall at Cornell University.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus, the Barbers International Union 481, Ithaca Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles, Forest City Grange and Tompkins County Fish and Game Club.
Mr. Hyde is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Hyde and two cousins, Mrs. Olin Buyea, Syracuse and H. Gerald Hyde, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Funeral services will be held in the Shea Funeral Home followed by the High Mass of Requiem in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
