B. Maurice Pierce, 96, of Lincoln, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 20, 2017. Maurice served his country in WWII in the Army Air Corps. He was a passionate gospel preacher for over 40 years before working as a grievance counselor and assistant at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Maurice's kindness and infectious joy were admired by many. He was born in Dawson, Texas, to Curtis and Era (Crosby) Pierce, on December 5, 1920.
He is survived by sons and daughters, Don Pierce of Clovis, California; Mark & Elaine Pierce, Merriam, Kansas; Paul & Judy Pierce of Lincoln; Deb & Joe Atwood of Bozeman, Montana; Dennis & Lori Pierce of Ft. Worth, Texas; Stan & Diane Pierce of Lincoln and D'Ann Pierce, family friend, Cate Merritt of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sister, Billie Ellis of Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by wife, Eudora (Midyett) Pierce and wife, Arlene (Perrin) Pierce; brothers & sisters, Mike Shaw, Bertha Wyrick and Malola Adams, and daughter-in-law, Ann Pierce.

Visitation with family 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 So. 14th St. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28, at Lincoln Church of Christ, 56th & Vine.
