Patricia Ann Barger passed with peace and grace on October 20, 2017 at the Hanson Hospice Center. She was born in 1937 in Dowagiac, Michigan. She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd, her sister, Dorothy Mead and her four children, Diana (Kenneth), Kerry, Kristina (Dennis) & Kelly (Patrick). Patricia started out as a cosmetologist. In 1965 she went to work at Simplicity Pattern and after many years, retired to enjoy her family and grandchildren. She was a born-again Christian, who taught Sunday school & ladies bible studies in her home. She strived to provide a good life for her husband and children. In her retirement years, she enjoyed her little dogs, a host of cats & many beautiful birds that she fed daily. She could be found many days sitting in her chair staring outside at the baby kittens which brought her tremendous happiness! Patricia’s greatest joy was her beautiful grandchildren, Tracy, Brandon & Justin Waggoner; Mathew & Nicole Zandarski; Danielle Antipov; Ryan & Michael Heston and Ryan and Sean London. No one will ever forget their birthday card arriving with $5 every single year! There is no public service planned. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Internment will be at the Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles, Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, Michigan. Online condolences may be made at www.hovenfunerals.com If you wish, donations may be made to Hospice, who provided her with loving care until the end of her life. She leaves us all better people for being a wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. We are left with the beautiful memories we shared with her throughout our lives.
