Delmar Wallace Arave, 76, passed from his mortal existence on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the hospital in Livingston, Mont., due to lung and renal failure. Onto a new adventure.

He was born Sept. 2, 1938, to Wallace Earl Arave and Myrel Polson, who were farming in the Osgood area at the time. He was raised in Shelley and attended 12 years in their schools, graduating in 1956.

Delmar was born with a gifted artist imagination and spent his life involved in creating a variety of art forms and was admired for the art he created. He worked as a professional commercial painter, who cared about his work and proudly pointed out the various signs and buildings still bearing witness to his brush strokes. He loved old cars, old houses and antiques of all kind. Most of all, he had a vivid memory of the old days and loved to tell stories about back when.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by four daughters, Cathy (Joseph) Birch of Idaho Falls, Vanica (Brad) Dugger of Idaho Falls, Suzanne (Brian) Falslev of Logan, Utah, and Danene Scribner of Lake Villa, Ill.; and two sons, Brian (Crystal) Arave of Idaho Falls and David Arave of Idaho Falls; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Alvin of Idaho Falls, Arvon of Idaho Falls, Lance of Montana and Kent of Colorado; and two sisters, Nadine (Charles) Jones of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Renae (Eugene) Frazer of Bremerton, Wash.

At his request, his body was cremated and there will be no funeral services.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
