Evelyn Deaver Jackson, 97, of Oak Ridge, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center.

She was an amazing soul, you could say, she never met a stranger.

Her main focus in life was taking care of her family and sharing and witnessing the gospel to everyone she met.

Mrs. Jackson was born in McCall, SC on April 11, 1920, the daughter of John William Deaver and Estella Bullard Deaver.

After marrying Woodrow Jackson Sr., they moved with their three sons to Oak Ridge in 1953, and became members of Central Baptist Church in 1954. She later moved her membership to Fairview Baptist Church and later came back to Central. She was a Sunday school teacher and Youth Director.

She was a stay at home mom taking care of her family.

She enjoyed vacations with family, reading, QVC, and gospel music, along with God’s word. She loved talking and witnessing to people, sharing her life and God’s word.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Woodrow Jackson Sr; sister, Vivian Adams; sons, Woodrow Jackson Jr., and William David Jackson.
