Florence Beam, 74, of Washington Township, NJ, passed away at home on Oct. 22, 2017. Florence was born on Nov. 29, 1943, to the late Anthony and Catherine (Kosmarek) Hydash in Great Meadows, NJ.

She was married to the late Alexander Beam and was a certified nursing assistant for more than 35 years at the Warren Haven Nursing Home in Oxford, NJ. Florence loved her cats and dogs. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved her flowers that grew in her yard.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony and his companion, Karen Gares, of Phillipsburg, NJ, Thomas and his wife, Helen, of Annandale, NJ; a daughter, Lisa and her companion, Buck Crocker, of Broadway, NJ; sisters, Tessie Trzecleakiewicz of Great Meadows, NJ, Josephine Skylar of Buttzville, NJ, and Eleanor Thomas of Hackettstown, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, John Hydash.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882 with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Pleasant Hill and Flanders Hillside Cemetery in Chester, NJ. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DeVoe Funeral Service.
