Robert A. Parris of Middleborough, age 87, died October 13, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Ethel M. (Chamberlain) and Harry B. Parris, Robert was one of thirteen children and was born and raised in Bridgewater. Robert was a member of the Local 4 – International Union of Operating Engineers and a proud Army Veteran. Robert was the loving husband of the late Joan (Fielding) Parris for 51 years.
Devoted father of Kathleen L. Wood and her husband James, Robert A. Parris, Jr. and his partner Shirley, John E. Parris and his wife Monica, Patricia A. Thompson and her husband Mark, Lisa M. Rogers and her husband Paul , Mark A. Parris and his wife Diane, Michael S. Parris and his fiance Stacey. Robert was the proud grandfather of many, beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he was also loved by many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by six brothers and six sisters and was a loving husband, devoted father, caring brother, dedicated grandfather and friend to many, especially James Kirby.
A Funeral Service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 785 South Main Street, Raynham, MA followed by a luncheon in celebration of Bob’s life at Stoneforge Tavern and Publick House, 90 Paramount Drive, Raynham, MA
A private graveside service for Robert will be held for family and friends in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
