JERRY DANNER
Jerry J. Danner, 84, of Derby, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Jerry was born in Woodburn, Iowa to John and Lucy (Heston) Danner on November 13, 1928.
He worked on his farm throughout his life. Jerry enjoyed dancing in numerous towns, especially Woodburn and Humeston. He also enjoyed hunting, telling stories, making sculptures, rock hunting, traveling and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include three children: John (Bernice) Danner of Derby, Joe Danner of Williamson, Debra (Gary) Storm of Williamson, 10 grandchildren: Rachel, Angela, Jerry, Amy, James, Adam, Jessica, Joel, Jena and Tom; 18 great grandchildren, four siblings: Daniel (Pauline) Danner of Woodburn, Herman (Lois) Danner of Woodburn, Flo (Wilford) O'Neal of Ackworth, Billie Danner of Derby, a special companion and friend, Geneva Helm of Van Meter, IA, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Woodburn Community Center.
