Janet Lee Bridge Aten, 81, died of kidney failure on Friday, October 13 in Madison, WI. She was born on August 12, 1936 in Springfield, IL, daughter of Prescott and Dorothy Bridge.
In 1958 she married Richard Eugene Aten, and together they raised their daughter Jennifer, and sons Wesley and Jeffrey.
Janet was active in United Methodist Church and numerous charitable organizations. She worked as a grade school and pre-school teacher, and was known for her love of the arts.
Janet is survived by her husband Richard, daughter Jennifer and son Wesley.
