Martha first buried in a cemetery where Gadsden City Hall now stands. This burial was due to flooding of the river when her body was to be transported to a family plot across the Coosa River.

When Gadsden City Hall was to be build, Mrs. Ramey's coffin was moved and buried in Forrest Cemetery. Later when it was learned she was buried in another family plot, her coffin was moved to another lot in Forrest Cemetery in Section #1. This was the third burial for Mrs. Ramey. Finally, Mrs. Ramey is laid to rest!

Portrayed by a descendant, an interesting story is told for Mrs. Martha Boyd Ramey at the annual Forrest Cemetery event "A Walk Through Time".

Other family research indicates Martha was a daughter of Samuel and Frances Boyd.
