Decatur-Charlotte Jean McCoy, 80, of Decatur, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Charlotte was born September 12, 1937 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Bertha (Long) Kwasny. She retired from Mueller Company and enjoyed crocheting and ceramics. Charlotte married Robert Wayne McCoy on July 3, 1976. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1992.
Surviving are her children Donald (Terri) Skelton, Janet Black, and Kathy Bobbit, brothers Sonnie (Roberta) Kwasny and Gary (Sierra) Kwasny, sister Judy Claypool, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Robert Skelton Bean, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
Services to celebrate Charlotte’s life will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday, October 30, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to PKD Foundation 1001 E. 101st Terrace, Suite 220, Kansas City, MO, 64131.
