Note: Minnesota Death Index and various other records state born 1861, 1862, 1863.∼Jul Aaby grew up on his parents farm, not far from Bertha Fjerestad's parents' farm in Dodge County, MN. Both were children of Norwegian immigrants.

Jul and Bertha married, and had three daughters. One, Amanda, married but none had any children.

Bertha was my grandfather's paternal aunt.
