This unusual three-sided obelisk is in memory of the Bagnell brothers, natives of Canada, who were all engaged in the building of railroads in the Southwest. Bagnell, Missouri, is named after him. Bagnell Dam on the Osage River, which created the Lake of the Ozarks recreational area, took it's name from the town.
