Tommy J. Dodson, 55, of Tecumseh, OK passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Tecumseh. He was born March 15, 1962 to Edgar L. and Mary J. (James) Dodson in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tommy was raised in Oklahoma City until the 4th grade when his family moved to Tecumseh. He attended Tecumseh Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1980 from Tecumseh High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged. After returning from the service he moved back to Tecumseh where he has since made his home. Tommy worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a jet engine mechanic for 13 years until his retirement. He loved working outside, especially with horses at the horse ranch and going fishing. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Tecumseh. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar L. Dodson. Tommy is survived by his mother, Mary J. Dodson; extended family and friends.Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Tecumseh Pentecostal Church of God with Pastor Fred Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
