For seven seasons (1952 to 1957 and 1960), he played at the defensive tackle position in the National and American Football Leagues with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers and Houston Oilers. Born Francis Jerome Helluin, he attended Catholic High School in Donaldsonville, Louisiana and played collegiate football at Tulane University. Selected by the Cleveland Browns during the 3rd round of the 1951 NFL Draft, he totaled 80 career regular season NFL and AFL games. In 1960, he experienced a world championship with the Houston Oilers' team which captured the AFL Title. After retiring from football, he worked as a terminal manager for a trucking company.
