Opal Mae Vice Lee, age 81, of Pisgah Road, Carlisle, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

She was born October 29, 1935, at Bethel in Bath County, a daughter of the late Elmer James and Lucy Frances Hawkins Vice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Lee Vice Burgess, and one brother, James Wilson Vice.

She is survived by her husband, Mason “Shorty” Lee; two sons, Gary Mason Lee of Paris and Larry Keith (Debbie) Lee of Sharpsburg; one daughter, Vicki Lynn Lee (John) Kepner of Sharpsburg; two granddaughters, Stacey Lee Payne of Lexington and Bobbe Lee (Chris) Crouch of Sharpsburg; one grandson, Jeremy Lee Hiler of Carlisle; one great granddaughter, Isabella Sophia Payne; one great grandson, Harrison Lee Payne; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and member of Grace Gospel Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with James Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery in Bethel.

Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
