Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Christenson were called upon to part with their little daughter, Edith Viola, who was drowned by accidently falling into a large water pail. The little miss would have been two years old the third day of next month. She had not been missed long by Mrs. Christenson before she was found, but too late to save her life. Mr. Christensen was in Beresford at the time of the accident and was promptly notified. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home conducted by Rev. Bickenstein, of Chicago and Rev. C. A. Evans, formerly of Beresford, and the little form was laid to rest in the Rockfield Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Christensen have the sincere sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.

Note - Newspaper gives first name as Edith. Name is given as Ethel in South Dakota death index which agrees with family researchers.
