On Thursday May 12, 2016 Nathaniel Collins was called home to rest along with his beloved dog Dozier. Nathaniel Collins was born July 8, 1919 in Bessemer Alabama to the late Johnny Collins and Lilly B, Nix Parrish. After leaving Alabama Nathaniel found his way to Utica, New York where he met and married Ruby L, Collins, with whom he shared over 55 years of marriage until her death on May 31, 2014. Left to cherish this union are there children, Nathaniel Bennett/Renee (Binghamton NY), Annie Lois Perkins/Wordell (Syracuse NY), Charles Bennett (Cleveland OH), Predeceased daughter Beaula Bennett, William Bennett/Fern (Oxon Hill MD), David Bennett/Valerie (Altus OK), Hamza Joel Collins/Fatima (Norwich CT), Ronald Collins (Cleveland OH), Michael Collins/Marie (New London CT). Nathaniel Collins worked for many businesses throughout the Utica area, finally retiring from the city of Utica. Nathaniel Collins memory will live on thru those he has touched as well as his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
