"Beell" Walters of Deering, formerly of Somersworth, died suddenly Jan. 24, 2010, at the age of 68.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Beell moved with his family to Massachusetts, where he attended Stoneham High School and met the love of his life, Kathleen Jewell.

Beell retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a painter in 1976. He was a member of the American Legion Post 59; Loyal Order of the Moose, Elks. He was a Shriner, a Mason and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hillsboro. His enjoyments were riding his Harley, playing cribbage, cooking, playing guitar, hosting and attending family functions, caring for numerous pets, and having laughs with his friends.

William was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen; brother, Rufus (Louie); his daughter, Marita Walters, and his granddaughter, Casey Walters.

His is survived by his children, Richard, Wendy, William, Kevin and Jaimee; his 18 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and of course his countless friends.
