Waverly Hall, GA- Mr. Louis Cook, 72, 149 Williams St Waverly Hall, GA, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Flat Rock Baptist Church 13255 GA Highway 85 Waverly Hall, GA with Pastor Paul Copeland officiating and Rev. Kelrone Trice Eulogist. Interment will follow at Oakhill Cemetery according to Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel at Rose Hill LLC 2919 Hamilton Road Columbus, GA. Visitation will be today, Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 1 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Cook, the son of the late James and Della Bowman Cook Sr., was born October 7, 1945 in Harris County Georgia. At an early age, Louis accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Flat Rock Baptist Church. He attended public school in Harris County. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Elaine Hampton and siblings Lovie Brown, Bennie Cook and Young Cook II. He leaves to cherish his precious memories , his children Carditta Cook and Donne Cook; siblings Eva Culpepper, James (Susie) Cook Jr, Walter (Dorothy) Cook, Bobbie Cook, Berdell (Willie) Stinson and Juanita Davis; the mother of his children, Orlean Foster; 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
