A celebration of life for June Bell Richardson, 91, of Medford, Oklahoma was held May 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home of Pond Creek, Oklahoma with the burial following in the Pond Creek Cemetery.
June was born May 13, 1924 just outside of Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Archie and Myrtle (Kirkland) Rutz. June left her family to become the "Brightest Star in the Sky" May 11, 2016.
She married Bill Richardson Sept. 18, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and to this union gave life and love to 11 children.
In 1958 the family moved to Jefferson, Oklahoma and in 1987 they moved to Medford, Oklahoma.
She worked at the Medford Nursing Home for 38 years. She also loved to make afghans and to crochet. June loved her plants and her dog Johnnie, but she loved her family most. June was also one awesome cook.
June is survived by sons; Billy Richardson, Medford, OK; David Richardson, Enid, OK; Danny Richardson, Pond Creek, OK; Dennis Richardson, Medford, OK.
Survived by daughters; Rose Ann Lehman, Des Moines, Iowa; Sandria West, Douglasville, Georgia; Rita Griffin, Whiterain, Texas; Patty Herl, Pond Creek, OK.
She left behind 29 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. June is also survived by one sister, Ruby Cole, Marlow, OK.
June was preceded in death by her husband Bill Richardson; 3 children, Charles, Wanda and Penny; 3 grandchildren, J.R. Richardson, Billy Lee Oblen, and a baby girl; 2 sisters, Mary and Dolly.
Her amount of love, compassion and strength were unsurpassed and she was a pillar of strength.
