Ruth Cecelia Strzelczyk, 96, passed away on October 18 at Lorien of Taneytown.

Ruth was born in Baltimore on March 29, 1921 to the late Phillip and Minnie (Strieter) Elliott.

She was the wife of Okey S. Bonnette and Walter Strzelczyk, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a lifelong homemaker.

Ruth is survived by four children: Carol A. and William O. Harrison of Taneytown; Phillip S. Bonnette of Gettysburg; Norman E. and Suzanne Bonnette of South Carolina and Ronald O. and Jan Bonnette of Taneytown.

Her son, Paul W. Bonnette, predeceased her.

She also leaves many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was the last of her 9 siblings to pass away.

Ruth attended Keymar Wesleyan Church.

Ruth enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, sewing and crocheting. She also was an excellent cook.

Her family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Please use Chapel entrance. Ruth's son, Rev. Norman Bonnette, will conduct the funeral services on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made, in her memory, to the Franklin Graham Ministries at Samaritan's Purse. https://www.samaritanspurse.org/
