Breaker Breaker one nine, the great maker received a beautiful soul on April 25, 2017. Marcella Gay Ellis, 72 of Osseo lost her courageous four year battle with cancer at Dove Health Care in Osseo, under the care of St. Croix Hospice, with her family by her side.
She arrived to the world in the arms of Kenneth and Velma Harriman on September 22, 1944 at their home. She spent a good share of her life behind the wheel of a big rig working and seeing the county with her husband, James of 54 years. They saw 48 states, Canada and even New Foundland.
She had a fantastic K-9 companion named Maggie that she spent many day snuggling with who will dearly miss her. She enjoyed spending her time playing cards with her good friends and neighbors.
Marcella is survived by her husband, James Ellis, children: Dana (Bobby) Alitz, Missie (Brian) Zimmerman and Rodney Ellis; grandchildren: Chasity (Luke), Justina, Cody, Keshia (Kyle), Hunter and Emily; great grandchildren: Lane Christian, Kasen Ross, and Adalyn Marcella; sister, Gwen (David) Glampe, half siblings: Kenneth and Kathy and a special aunt Beverly Lee, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, baby brother, David James, parents-in-law, John and Martha Ellis, and sister-in-law, Donna Mattson and feline, Scout.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017, at Schiefelbein Funeral Home, Osseo at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Linda Marlett officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.
