John E. Michel, age 91, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community. He was born on September 26, 1926 in Pemberville to Edward and Kathryn (Blecke) Michel. He graduated from Pemberville High School and served his country proudly while enlisted in the United States Navy during WWII. For many years he was a parts manager for Jarvis White. John was a faithful and lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville.
John is survived by his nieces: Arlene (Lowell) Baker of Perrysburg and Gretchen (Allen) Oberdick of Reading, MI, several great-nieces and great- nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives: Peggy O’Neil and Mary McCoy, sister: Wilma Rife Schneider and brother: Howard Michel.
A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM from Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville.
