David Glover 89 of Oroville, California passed away Sunday October 15, 2017.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Better Deal Exchange Ace Hardware, 1845 Mitchell Ave. in Oroville.

David was born June 18, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Betty Glover. He went to high school in Cincinnati and joined the Navy at 17. When he completed his time in the Navy he graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Engineering.

He married Gracelyn Nicosia February 3,1950. They raised their three children in Ohio, New York, Oklahoma, then they ended up in California calling it home for the past 49 years. He worked many years for General Electric and Aerojet before he decided to look for his dream job. He bought Better Deal Exchange Ace Hardware in 1978. He spent the past 39 years doing what he loved to do. Helping people! When he wasn’t at the store he could be found at the Oroville Sports Club working on his daily 100 sit ups and 100 push ups or riding his #12 spin bike.

David and Gracelyn spent many years enjoying trips on the ocean. They loved to cruise. They also took mini trips to Reno. One time they won $25,000 on a Keno ticket. They also shared a love of musical theater. They could be found every summer at Music Circus in Sacramento and Broadway series in the fall.

David is survived by his sister Mary, His children Lynn Leach (Ken), Jeffrey Glover(Sheryl) and Ted Glover(Leslie). Grandchildren Amy Hammersley, Micheal Glover and Trina NIxon. Greatgrandchildren Aubrey Hammersley, Kevin and Cheyanne Nixon. He was preceded in death by his wife Gracelyn, parents, brother Vince and Grandson Joshua Lowery and Grandson in law Carson Hammersley.
