She was born to her late parents, Henry Turner and Lillie Hill, on Sept. 2, 1938 in MS. She was a member of 2nd Baptist Church and a former employee of Arkell Furniture.
Vera "BOO" Turner was survived by three daughters; Arveria Jones, Dorothy Snow (Arnold), and Vickie Hoover all of Pontotoc. One son; Jerry Turner (Eloise) of Houlka. Two sisters; Elizabeth Cooper of Houlka and Lula Hoover of Pontotoc. Fifteen grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at 2nd Baptist Church in Houlka.
The service will be Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Gordon Chapel C.O.G.I.C. in Houlka.
Burial will follow immediately after at the Thompson Chapel Cemetery.
Williams Memorial was in charge of all arrangements.
