Thelma is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Sonny Smith of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Shannon Duff of Gloucester and Whitney Smith of Roanoke; three great-grandsons, Steven Webb, Shanon Webb, Sidney Webb; four great-granddaughters, Emery Duff, Lyla Duff, Marlee Webb and Londyn Tinsley; one sister, Betty Foley Wood and husband, Benton of Stuart; and two brothers, Sam Guy Foley and wife, Helen of Stuart and Marvin Ray Foley of Stuart.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to your local Hospice organization. Words cannot express the thanks and gratitude for her care from the staff of Our Lady of the Valley, which became part of her family as well. It was obvious that you loved her and she loved you. Also the compassion and support shown for Thelma and her family by Good Samaritan Hospice during her last days have been a blessing to all.
