Imogene is survived by four children that were blessed to call her Mom: Anthony and wife Lori Long of Grave City, OH, Thomas and wife Kristine Long of Worthington, OH, Tammy and husband David Patton of Grave City, OH and Tonda and husband Milford Anderson of Strunk, Ky. Grandchildren, Tasha, Butch, Ashley, Kyle, Emily, Colleen, Colin, Justin and Joey. Four Great Grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Ayda and Corbin.
Imogene was born and raised in Pine Knot Ky. She attended and in 1946 graduated from Pine Knot High School. She worked at the post office, was a cook at the school, ran a store/restaurant along with Opal and Ed and was a in home caregiver. She Married Hurstel in 1950 and later moved to Columbus OH where they raised their family.
She was a longtime member of Southwest Baptist Church in Columbus, OH, where she served as president of Ladies Aide for many years. She loved sewing and cooking and big get togethers. She was best known for her cakes and pies. She had a heart of gold and was loved by many.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Signature Healthcare and a special thank you to Sandy for the love and care she gave our loving mother.
Pine Knot Funeral Home will be conducting the Services for Ms. Imogene Long. Funeral time will be Monday, October 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Bro. Bill Baisden officiating, burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. Friends and family visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 6:00 pm, at the Pine Knot Funeral Home.
