Kathy was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Cunningham) Holbeck. She married Reginald "Reggie" B. Stewart on July 14, 1962.
She retired from Buick City in 1997, after thirty years of service. She was a member of Buick Local 599. She enjoyed traveling on bus trips with her UAW friends.
